As the days get lighter, many of us are searching for new ways to welcome Spring into our home. The 2017 pantone color of the year, “Greenery” is making headlines for it’s vibrant yet earthy tones, and is a perfect reflection of the new season.
Pantone announced, “Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”
And, we can certainly see why. This stunning shade has a way of reminding us of nature in nearly any setting.
The easiest way to incorporate “Greenery” is through greenery itself! Even just a few plants can ad wonders to a room. Consider caring for low maintenance hanging plants such as the Spider plant, or Ivy. Another option, is getting potted plants such as cactuses or succulents. Add them to shelves, tables, and surfaces near light.
Painting with Greenery
If your looking to go above and beyond plants, then commit to painting an accent wall or even a whole room! Balance the green hue out with other shades of green, black and white. Consider adding touches of hazelnut, and textures of wood to compliment the fresh outdoor color.
