As July comes to a close, many outdoor events welcome residents to spend time outdoors with friends and family.
Victory Celebration for Elliot State Forest -Thinking Tree Spirits
Cascadia Wildlands, Mountain Rose Herbs and Thinking Tree Spirits will be hosting a Victory celebration for the Elliot State Forest from 6-10 pm on Saturday, July 29. There will be live music, food, and drinks!
Children’s Celebration- 200 W. B Street, Springfield
On Saturday July 29th, Island Park in Springfield will be hosting the Children’s Celebration from 10am – 2pm. The FOOD For Lane County benefit will have over 55 community exhibitors with a variety of activities including pony rides, inflatable obstacle courses, crafts, games, and live entertainment. “The Children’s Celebration is a special day that is filled with fun activities, laughter and lasting memories,” says the program manager for special events and outdoor recreation, Kim Lyddane, in a press release. Admission to the event is FREE with a donation of canned food for FOOD for Lane County.
Eugene Sunday Streets – Downtown Eugene
Eugene Sunday Streets will be kicking off on July 30th with a parade at noon. The city sponsored event promotes healthy active living in Eugene’s largest space by closing off Broadway avenue from Pearl Street to Monroe Park. The weekly event welcomes walkers, rollers, cyclists, dancers and music. Residents can enjoy arts & crafts, gymnastics, free helmets, and prizes all day long!
